How does variable application rate works?

Variable application rate maps (RAV) help farmers increase their yields using optimal levels of fertilizers, seeds or chemicals in specific areas of crops where inputs will bring the greatest added value.

Drone analysis of nitrogen requirements helps farmers determine easily and quickly where and how much chemicals are applied depending on the plant’s ability to absorb nutrients.

Crop analysis shows 4 types of filed areas with excellent vegetation health, poor or without vegetation which can help the farmer know exactly what the plant needs for a better performance.

Because of the lack of information it happens that farmers fertilize wrong parts of field or apply unjustified quantities of nutrients ending up losing money.

The variable application rate allows differentiated application of nutrients depending on the plants absorption capacity. In this way, in areas with healthy plants it is applied less because they don’t have the same absorption capacity, being supersaturated.

In areas where plants have a poorer development, a greater amount of nutrients is applied helping them to enter in an optimal vegetative state. At the same time, in the areas affected by puddles of technological traces it is recommended that variable application rate omit these regions such that the consumption of inputs is reduced and implicitly the allocated resources.

Knowing exactly the application locations helps farmers to:
